Chinese independent international star Ayi Jihu continued her incredible journey from her small village in the mountains of Leibo in China to being one of the most talked about independent Chinese artsit ever as she performed with Brazilian Star Edu Casanova (representing Brazil and cultural exchange) for the Chinese Commerce Minister Minister Gao Hucheng, the Brazilian Vice President Michel Temer along with dignitaries from all over the world on Monday 5th of November at a special event in Macau China.

The performance took place and the beautiful Four Seasons Hotel and complex in Macau. Ayi Jihu and Edu Casanova had already performed to a packed crowd in the Macau the night before. Bringing the house down with their new single Ilumina.

Ayi Jihu and Edu Casanova recently recorded their first track together Ilumina at the world famous WR Bahia studios in Brazil. They also just finished recording the promo video in Brazil, Some of the Ilumina video was shot in Macau.

At the special celebrations held in Macau Ayi Jihu was the only Chinese singer representing not just China but cultural diversity and integration as she continues to build bridges, make history and knock down doors all around the world, using music, film, fashion and philanthropy to change perceptions and bring people together. Artist from Portuguese speaking countries many from Africa all performed along with Edu Casanova and Ayi Jihu.

Ayi Jihu said she was proud and honored to perform in front of the Chinese Commerce Minister, Brazilian Vice President and all the other dignitaries at the event in Macau. “I feel so blessed to have had this opportunity especially to do so with Edu Casanova who is an amazing performer, singer and songwriter. All of the artist here are amazing, especially the ones coming from Africa. Back stage all we do is sing and dance and make music. The energy and joy they have is infectious. They really just love life and what they do. This has been an amazing experience for me and I am so happy that these great artists and performers all accepted me as one of them. We are really just one world and sometimes it takes things like this for us to see just how much the same we all are, while recognizing our differences. I will never forget this experience.

I truly believe Ilumina is a hit song and will do well for everyone involved even though it is in Portuguese and also English, I think it will do well everywhere including in English speaking countries. Edu wrote a great track here and Peter Doc Bielig (who produced the track) has made a hit record out of it. It was cool to work with Doc B and Stevie Eagle E (EEDB) on this project.

worlds biggest carnival welcomes chinese star Ayi Jihu

The world’s biggest party, The Salvador carnival in Brazil, will for the first time welcome a Chinese artist to perform. Psy was the first Asian artist to welcome this honor and now Chinese star, Ayi Jihu, is the second and the first Chinese artist to be invited to do so. In doing so she is once again making history with her iconic performance.

Performing at the Salvador Carnival in front of over 2 million people a day and a global audience of hundreds of millions, is something that is reserved for the special. It takes official government sanction and an invitation from Brazilian stars to make this even have a slight chance of happening.

Ayi Jihu is already an historic artist. She is perhaps used to making history. Her career thus far is full of historic firsts. This is perhaps due to the very nature of the type of artist or celebrity she is or has become. By her very nature, Ayi Jihu is set up to do great things. Born in ethnic Yi Chinese is a small minority in a small village in the Sichuan region of China, she has become China’s first and only real independent international artist. Everything she does is against the normal way of things. This has played a great part in her crossing over and catching the eye of the West too.

While PSY has taken a more direct route to his carnival appearance, with his huge worldwide number one hit and video, Ayi Jihu has taken a very different route. She has not had a huge worldwide track, or a video with hundreds of millions of plays on YouTube. So just how did she get to be where she is?

The worlds biggest carnival welcomed Ayi Jihu to perform for several reasons. This historic move is not just about number one hits or popular music. It is about people, culture tourism and looking to the future. Jihu represents all of these things and most of all she represents “the future.” People are all aware by now, or should be, of just how fast China is growing. How it grows will probably be affected by how they integrate more with the West. Jihu is a symbol of China’s move into the future and how it will master and dominate, not just the things we expect but also music and entertainment.

Up until Ayi  Jihu, no true born Asian artists have really ever been able to master the language, ‘swagga,’ and vibe to allow them to truly crossover to the West. Even Psy struggles on this front. His lack of English skills sets him up more as anomaly than a credible crossover artist or celebrity. However, Ayi Jihu has no such problem. She is able to communicate to both East and West perfectly, not just her language but her whole image and swagga goes both ways. She has mastered the ability to appeal globally at a local and real level without number one hits, massive hype or major TV exposure. Ayi Jihu is considered by many who come into contact with her as “the real deal.” A human being everyone feels they can get with. This is the real secret to the success and rise of Ayi Jihu and this is the reason she has been invited to perform at the worlds biggest party, The Salvador Carnival in Brazil.

Ayi Jihu recently returned from Bahia, Brazil. While she was there she not only collaborated with Brazilian stars Edu Casanova and Maristela Muller, but took the time to work with the people of Brazil. Putting herself out to get involved with them, Ayi Jihu and her team continually look to give first and then collaborate. This is what sets them apart from others and this is another reason why Ayi Jihu moves ahead. Here is an artist that is very aware of her position in the world and the great power that rises from it. She represents them and at the same time is willing to get involved with all types of people the whole world over. She does this on their terms and on their level and often becomes like them as much as she can. This is very evident when you listen to her music and collaborations with Edu Casanova and Maristela Muller. These songs are a fusion of Portuguese and English, but more Portuguese than English. One would hardly expect a Rihanna to make such a move. Jihu is an R&B pop artist, that is her thing. Throw in a ragga groove and she is off. However, we now find her on a Brazilian samba type groove, working with a Brazilian artists and adapting to their flavor whilst giving her own.

Ayi Jihu’s ability to master and mix with other cultures and people is the real key to her success. This is a true born Chinese girl and as Chinese as Chinese gets. However, when speaking with her if one is American they feel she is American, if one is English they feel she is English, if one is African or Brazilian they feel she is one of them. She then backs this up by getting involved with common interests with the people from the ground up. It was her continued efforts on this front that brought her to the attention of the Salvador head of tourism and culture, who requested a one-on-one personal meeting with the star.

Thanks to her efforts and word spreading about her in Brazil, Ayi Jihu was then invited to address the Bahian parliament and the people of Brazil at a special celebration of Bahian culture and art.

Things did not stop here. As news spread around Brazil about Ayi Jihu and her collaborating with the people, stars, and culture of Brazil, she was was then invited to perform for the Brazilian Vice president in China. Ayi Jihu ended up performing with Edu Casanova not just for the Brazilian vice president, but many top leaders and dignitaries from around the world including the Chinese commerce minister. All of this without a worldwide number one hit, no massive PR campaign, nor any real hype. Just true honest appeal and a willingness to put her best foot forward first.

Legend Tito Jackson, Chinese star Ayi Jihu and Brazilian Star Edu Casanova

Before Chinese star Ayi Jihu could speak English, she could speak ‘Jackson’. Like millions of Chinese kids Ayi Jihu, also known as ‘The Chinese Madonna‘ grew up singing and dancing to Michael Jackson. In her own words ‘We did not know what we were singing but we sang it anyway because we loved it’. Ayi Jihu has carved out a historic career for herself becoming the first true-born Chinese RnB artist to transition successfully to the West. All that and independently too. She credits Michael Jackson and the Jacksons themselves for her inspiration. When asked about the Tag ‘Chinese Madonna’ She tells us it’s more about her business than her music. “Because I am independent and seen as a strong woman not part of the system who does my own thing in China, they compared me to Madonna in that respect, not because of my music or style which is very different. Obviously just like Madonna there are some out there who are not Ayi Jihu fans and seem to be on a mission to discredit me at every turn, but just like Madonna I continue to improve and move forward and I do not pay the ‘Haters’ any attention. I just keep working hard and doing my thing.”

Fast forward to the 19th of January 2014 from the small village in Leibo, Sichuan, China where she grew up and Ayi Jihu finds herself working with the Legendary Tito Jackson on track by Brazilian star Edu Casanova at Shlepp Studios in London. The Jackson’s are the biggest most well-known brand and name in show business. For Ayi Jihu they are the most important name, the inspirational name behind most she has done and now she has come full circle to realise one of her greatest dreams.

Tito Jackson flew in from Brazil having never met Ayi Jihu or Edu Casanova. Ayi Jihu and Edu Casanova have already collaborated on a track due for release later this year. Tito Jackson was introduced to the song ‘Bola Vez’, Edu Casanova and Ayi Jihu by his management. In Tito’s own words ‘I Checked out her [Ayi Jihu] website, music and story and I thought she was beautiful, talented and compelling. I also thought she is an important artist, someone who is in the right place at the right time in history,’ I loved the song and what I saw from Edu Casanova also. He is a passionate singer and songwriter. For me it was something I felt I had to get involved with for many reasons, not just the music.”

For an artist like Tito Jackson, the very corner-stone of the Jackson’s getting back to music must be something to relish. With the press and media always hungry for all things Michael and his family in constant legal battles enjoying the simple pleasure of making music and being an artist must be a godsend for Tito. His sons (Who have a group of their own 3T) are also in London for the TV show The Big Reunion and Tito himself is working on a brand new album which he says is simply ‘Tito’. This gentle articulate gentleman is hungry to put the Jackson brand and focus firmly back onto music. Just like his brother Michael, Tito’s gentle manner complete disappears once he gets on stage or behind the mic. It’s an almost 360 degree turn into a Showbiz Monster.

Tito flew in from Japan and headed straight for the studio. With the Jackson’s back on tour in the USA there was not much time in the UK. The press and media had also already got wind of his arrival and were laying in wait to speak to Tito and Ayi Jihu about their collaboration on this song with Edu Casanova. Not only did Tito and Ayi have to record in one day, they also had to shoot the promo video for the song. After a 16 hour flight, and no real rest Tito Jackson hit the studio and within a few minutes he was on the mic. When you have been brought up in music like Tito Jackson, the old school way, things like this are taken in ones stride. None of the extras, histrionics, moaning or ludicrous request of the so-called stars of today. Just in the studio and straight down to work. Old school, Professional, real.

Unfortunately Brazilian Singer songwriter Edu Casanova (and yes that is his real name) could not make it to London in time. Edu had just finished a live show in Bahia Brazil where hundreds of thousands of people turned up. Unlike many Western stars, Brazilian performers cannot perform for a few minutes and disappear. Three sometimes , four hour shows are common in Brazil. It was impossible to fly him to London in time. Edu Casanova is the writer and main artist on the song Bola Vez. The song Tito Jackson and Ayi Jihu are both featured on. The song is a fusion of Portuguese and English. A funky, almost Cool and the Gang ‘Get down on it’ type joint that makes it hard for you not to start moving. Produced by Peter (Doc B) Bielig in Brazil it could go all the way, especially when you think of the line up!

The producer of Bola Vez and is Peter Doc Bielig. Stevie Eagle E and Peter Doc B have worked together for over 20 years forming a successful Artist and production team from which Shlepp Entertainment Ltd was created. EEDB (Eagle and Doc B) produced and wrote for Viola Billups and the Flirtations. Viola Billups is now the manager of Tito Jackson. Viola Billups who grew up with Lionel Richie and Stevie Wonder and was herself a successful Decca recording artist was introduced to Ayi Jihu and Edu Casanova through Peter Doc B and that is how this whole collaboration came to be.

This collaboration as big as it is part of an even bigger picture. When one considers the fusion of music, cultures and artists and who they all reach, you begin to get an idea of just how big this could be. The biggest stars in the West are limited in China, due to language, culture and lets say Chinese Swag. The same can be said of the biggest stars in China. Music alone is not enough to cross over. You need to be accepted as a person and understood by the people you are singing to. This understanding does not always have to be language but it has to be something communicated which allows you to reach people who do not understand you. Perhaps thus far only Michael Jackson had mastered this conundrum. Now however Ayi Jihu seems to have this magical formula of being accepted and understood by both East and West, in fact by everyone! This allows her to open up the whole of China to other artist who collaborate and work with her bringing artist like Edu Casanova and Tito Jackson not just to the 200 million Chinese that may be able to understand them, but to Billions of Chinese everywhere.

This is reciprocated in Brazil and also the USA and Europe as Edu Casanova helps Ayi transition to Brazil and Tito Jackson helps her transition to the USA and the West. So what you have here is not just a musical collaboration, but a well thought out strategic and cultural collaboration that could signal a real change in the music industry over the next several years.

Chinese star Ayi Jihu sits outside the cinema showing her first ever film

This was not your West End huge blockbuster movie premiere. Rather a more modest affair in South East London at a Boutique art house cinema in Bermondsey Square. However the significance of the event was not lost on many who packed into Shortwave Cinema for the London Independent Film Festival screening of ‘I believe in Monsters’ featuring among others Chinese star Ayi Jihu.

Perhaps many could sense this could be one of those ‘I was there moments’ Or perhaps they just wanted to see the film and support an artist, actress, celebrity and philanthropist who is making waves around the globe. Whatever the reason they came so many came in fact that the cinema schedule had to be changed to accommodate them.

Cast and crew of the film were joined by celebrities, Artists, Actors, fans, friends and followers all wishing to watch the film and celebrate this moment with Ayi Jihu.

Ayi Jihu is no stranger to making history having just returned from her historic tour of Brazil taking the country by storm as the first Chinese artist to ever perform at the carnival Ayi Jihu is used to an osmosis approach to history making.

From the start of her career Ayi Jihu has done, first, after first after first, and made history many times over, but one got the sense that the personal achievement of seeing herself for the first time on the big screen was a little more personal. As the world waits for her own film FearChaser™ to hit the big screens (a project and concept that started as an idea based on her own fear chasing exploits and then grew into an online game played by over 25 Million kids) Ayi is looking to learn her craft and act as much as she can.

She goes from Super Hero (FearChaser) to Victim in ‘I believe in monsters’. We asked her how she felt about her part in the film I believe in Monsters: “Fearchaser is about me even though I am a sort of superhero it never feels like acting so much. I believe in monsters was scary for me. I did not think I was good enough and I was very nervous at first. I got my strength and confidence from working with the young star of the film Tiya Falcon Ellis. It was her first film and she had never acted before, but she just had a good time and did not let it phase her, so I thought I would just copy here and try to enjoy it and not let it get to me too much. I am proud of what I did in the film it is a good start for me and now I know if I keep working hard I can only get better. This was a great start for me. It was such a thrill to see myself on the big screen, something I would have never thought possible several years ago. Life is full or surprises”.

Unfortunately Tiya Falcon Ellis who played Ayi’s daughter in the film was unable to make it to the premiere. It was also her first acting role and she impressed all involved.

So a small bit of history has been made. ‘I believe in Monsters’ will undoubtedly not be Ayi Jihu’s last film. We believe it will be the start of many films Ayi Jihu will be involved in including her own blockbuster in the making ‘Fearchaser’. In the future this little film may well become of great interest not only because it is a good little film, but because it signalled the beginning of an extraordinary career in the cinema. Chinese star Ayi Jihu looking to hit big with Ilumina (Shallallaja) track in Germany

Chinese star Ayi Jihu is set to move further into the public eye in 2014 and perhaps make history again as the first true Chinese artist to top the Pop charts anywhere in the West with the release of her new single Ilumina (Shallallaja) which is set to drop in Germany on the 27th of June 2014. The German remix of the song written and performed by Brazilian star Edu Casanova and also featuring Rapper Toni Tuklan has captured the imagination of Brazil and is set to do great things in Germany and beyond?. The song has been linked to several world cup promotions in Germany as well as been taken on by the main Dance and Zumba schools over there giving it a strong platform for success in that market.

The German remix of the original track by producer Peter Doc B Bielig is geared towards the German market bringing in African/German rapper Toni Tuklan who is riding high in the charts over there at this time. We are told the original or a different mix will be released in the UK and perhaps the USA more geared to those markets with the original (more brazilian flavour) mix being released in Brazil and South America.

The success of this track already is a triumph for international collaboration. Ayi Jihu is an international artist working with artists all over the world. Going to Brazil and linking up with Edu Casanova was another masterstroke from this trailblazing Chinese artist and her record company Shlepp Entertainment Ltd. Months of hard work were put in behind the scenes putting this all together. Building a good relationship with the Brazilian people and artistic community as well as working closely with Government.

While many even in Brazil could not initially see the end game the world is now paying attention to this collaboration and effort especially with Ayi Jihu being the first Chinese artist to perform at the Carnival in Brazil with Edu Casanova. They performaned the song to Millions of people in the streets of Brazil at the carnival in Bahia and that translated to Brazilian TV and Radio pushing her and a National Brazilian audience as the Chinese Madonna You can see Ayi Jihu on Brazil National TV here.

The collaboration has helped launch Edu Casanova back into the mainstream and has got the whole Brazilian music industry watching as this type of project has been attempted many times in the past but has yet to be internationally successful.

The campaign will be truly international with several versions of the song and video being released in different markets. The German video will feature Brazilian and Barcelona soccer star Dani Alves seen below recording with Edu Casanova in Spain.

Not only does the project have Chinese star Ayi Jihu involved in it but it was initially produced by German Producer Peter Doc B Bielig, who worked in association with Stevie Eagle E (UK/USA/Jamaica) (Shlepp Entertainment Ltd) Who not only brought Ayi Jihu to the project but also produced and directed the videos (media), but also contributed to the musical production and writing process. This was all tied together by German media company Storz Media GMBH run by Bernhard Stroz in Stuttgart Germany. Ilumina is a truly international project thanks to the efforts made by Ayi Jihu and her team to bring it to the world and take it beyond Brazil and Germany using Shlepp Entertainments powerful PR and Media global and social network.

We spoke to Ayi Jihu via telephone from Cambridge UK about the track and the whole project.

Ayi you must be feeling very happy about how this project and song is shaping up?

Yes of course I am very happy. We have worked very long and hard on this for almost a year and it is good to see it coming to fruition now. I truly hope it does well and even becomes a hit. It has has all the bits.

Ayi what made you get involved with all of this in the first place?

Well as you know it is my style to do this type of thing, but it was my manager Stevie Eagle E who convinced me to take on this project and work with Edu Casanova. I had never really heard of him before and I am sure he did not know me but I liked the idea of going to Brazil and trying something new and I know that if i get involved with something it usually catches the attention of others around the world, so I went for it. I liked the song too. The idea was really to bring exposure to the project by getting involved and then working it from there. I think it worked out quite nicely really. I can honestly say I worked very hard on this project, putting in a lot of time and effort so it is good to see it paying off.

How do you feel about how the song has developed with the different mixes and versions?

When you have been in the music business long enough you know this type of thing has to be done. This is an international project starting in Brazil and then through Germany. It is being initially released by German Record label Millenium Pearls which is part of Storz Media GMBH. From there it hits the rest of the world we hope and Shlepp Entertainment Ltd will become more involved. The mixes reflect each market. The German version is quite different but its good and they brought in Toni Tuklan to feature on the track and do his thing. Again someone knew to me, but he has the ears of the German public having had some success there and so it makes sense to bring in someone they are familiar with. Both Edu and myself look forward to meeting him at some point. If you asked my which mix I like the best it would be the original production by Peter Doc Bielig. That has the most flavour of Brazil and is a bit more organic and real but i like them all. The mix for the UK and maybe the USA is kinda heavy too. I have heard it and I think that has a good chance of making some noise over here in England.

Did you enjoy making the videos?

Oh I loved making the videos that was the most fun. Bahia is such a cool place and the people are amazing. We shot over several months in China too. When I went to China to perform with Edu for the Chinese Prime Minister and Brazilian Vice President we did several performances and shot around Macau etc. We tried to keep the flavour of Brazil in the videos as much as possible, especially with the world cup around the corner. There are several versions of the video coming out, again something a bit different. We just shot some scenes with Dani Alves in Spain for the German version of the track and to promote the whole world cup theme and vibe that the song is taking on. It’s all very exciting to start something like this and see so many other people see and feel the momentum and jump on board and get involved. I am very proud of what we have done here on many levels.

What are your expectations?

It may sound a bit weird but I do not have any expectations, I work hard do my best and hope that things go well. I trust in my immediate team. I have worked very hard on this, made several trips to Brazil and done many things to get this going and move the project forward. I loved working with Edu Casanova, I enjoyed the carnival and I learned a lot. I feel we as a team have done a great job on this and those coming in now really only just have to get it out there. Although I had a lot to do with many aspects of the project it is an Edu Casanova song and that means I have to follow the lead of others. My job now is to support the project as much as I can and help it get as far as it can.

What comes next for you Ayi?

Well at the moment we are all focused on Ilumina. As soon as we have that up and running we have to start looking at A Bola Da Vez another track I did with Edu Casanova and Tito Jackson.

We are hoping that this will do well also. Anyone who follows me will also know I am seriously working on my New album ‘The Rebirth’ This album means a lot to me and I feel people will probably get to see how I have grown and developed on this album. So it is all go right now. I am juggling a few things at the moment and it looks like this year could be another big one for me. I am excited and blessed by the opportunities god has made available to me and my immediate team.

Do you have any plans to do more with Tito Jackson or Edu Casanova?

Well a lot has been thrown up in the air in recent months I would like to wait and see what sticks. I love working with other artists it’s the best way for an artist like me coming from China to get a real understanding and feel for music all over the world. I am not sure what the future holds with those two artist. Yes I would love to work with them again at some point. Right now I a have some other really fantastic collaborations on the boil with great new up and coming artist and also established great singers and songwriters. I won’t say too much now until everything is fully in place but lets just say I have only just begun.

The future looks exciting for Ayi Jihu who continues to forge ahead on many fronts. Her forthcoming single collaboration with Edu Casanova looks likely to do do good things in the German and Brazilian markets especially with the world cup and dance school tie in’s and hookups.

We are still waiting to get the full information on the UK and USA release dates, mixes etc but for all those that can’t wait and want to get it from Germany first here is the information:

Ayi Jihu set to hit the runway at London Fashion week with House of iKons

Chinese RnB sensation Ayi Jihu has joined with the fashion group House of Ikons part of the Lady K Enterprises run by Fashion guru and producer Savita Kaye. She will be performing at the exclusive House of Ikons fashion show on Saturday 13th of September 2014 at the Hilton London Paddington. The House of Ikons fashion show is the first to be supported by The Princes Trust and the fashion show will aim to raise funds to support the Prince’s Trust.

Ayi Jihu has developed into quite a fashion icon. She started as Brand Ambassador for Young Native Fashion helping to put Angela DeMontigny on the map as one of the worlds foremost Native American Fashion Designers. Her recent collaboration with Maverick Fashion designer Rose Perkins whose brand [Fashionsistas] of Urban Fashion has been catching the fashions worlds attention has seen the singer move even more into the fashion spotlight.

These are exciting times for me. I never really saw myself doing anything in fashion several years ago because I thought I was to short and had the wrong build. Now I find myself doing so much in Fashion, modelling and representing fashion brands all around the world and I still find it hard to believe. I really hope the message gets out to everyone everywhere that you should never limit yourself or sell yourself short. Nothing is impossible.

I am a woman so I love clothes and working with Fashionsistas is not like work for me it is fun, pure fun. I love the clothes she makes, she really understands me and I feel she has got a great handle on what young ladies these days want to wear. They want to be classy and elegant, sexy with a hint of the street thrown in and that is what Fashionsistas do so very well.

I am so looking forward to performing at London Fashion Week in the House of iKon fashion show. It’s great to be doing something with the Prince’s Trust, an organization I really respect that does a lot of good things and really helps young people in the UK and around the world. Lady K (Savita Kaye) reminds me of myself, she does so many things and has built a mini fashion empire with her own two hands, but she has done it not just to make money or for fame, but to help others and change the game and she is doing that. She is giving opportunity to young designers from all over the world to show what they can do and several designers she has brought through have gone on to do great things designing for the biggest names in the world. I believe this is why the Prince’s Trust has got behind House of iKons because they are actually doing things to help the community, broaden our outlook. I am really looking forward to performing at the Fashion show and who knows maybe you may see me being a cat walk model. I would love to do that at least once in my life. I will just need some 10 inch heels I can walk in.

Grammy award winner Steve Russell and Chinese star Ayi Jihu get together on new track

Steve Russell a member of the Chart Topping RnB group Troop has written and produced many of the stars we know today including working with the likes of Chris Brown, LA and Face, B2K, David Archuleta, Omarion, Aretha Franklin, Mario, Tyrese and dozens more as well as writing the music for hit films such as Dreamgirls, Kung Fu Panda and Shrek.  This Grammy award winning writer, producer, artist and vocal arranger is now writing and producing a duet with Chinese Star Ayi Jihu that will be part of her forthcoming album ‘The Rebirth’.

We spoke briefly to Steve in Pasadena, California and asked him about the collaboration

‘Im excited to be working with Ayi Jihu she is a beautiful and talented young artist that has a lot going for her. In my career I have always looked to work with as many different types of artists and projects as I can, trying to keep on the edge of what is current, what is happening and what is about to happen. Working on this track with Ayi Jihu has been a pleasure.’

Once again I feel extremely blessed. Working with someone like Steve Russell is just fantastic for me. He has done it all worked with so many of the greats, worked on so many hits its just a dream really. I love his music and he really understands the RnB I love. In fact we both love the same thing. Real RnB. I have to thank my team for bringing us together and making this happen there must be something about the name Steve that brings magic into my world. The song we are working on I love it so much, It is just such a cool song. I won’t say too much and spoil it for anyone as I am still working on it with Steve Russell as we speak. Real RnB fans will love it, thats all I can say. I am just trying to do my best on it. We are going to be working on other things together too and we have spoken about performing live also. So much to look forward to. I am just very honoured and happy and working hard on this album ‘The Rebirth’ I am doing this album for me, my way with songs and people I really love. Every song on it is special to me and I truly hope the public feel this passion when they hear the songs. It is not easy to find the right producer or songs when you are working on a project like this. I have worked with several and it just did not work out for me with some of them because not everyone wants to work with you, some just want to turn you into what they feel you should be. It’s great that someone like Steve Russell gets me and understands what I am trying to do. I feel it has a lot to do with his experience of working with so many different types of artist, voices and styles. He has such a good understanding of people. He is just a really great guy.

Ayi Jihu already travels the world speaking to Children in schools about Bullying and Cyber bullying. Her Fearchaser character which is not being made into a huge film has already been played by over 25 million kids around the world. Ayi Jihu believes the message of Fearchaser (which is fighting fear) that she speaks to the younger kids about also applies to young adults in the Universities around the world. Speaking on the phone to Global News Ayi jihu said: ‘It is a natural step for me getting involved with SHE. When these terrible things happen to someone fear stops them from speaking out and that silence hurts everyone. Fearchaser is all about gaining control of these types of fears and gaining the courage to do the right things. I have been fighting my fears my whole life and still do. I have also been on the end of sexual harassment and I was very afraid to speak about it. So I feel I can really relate to SHE and what it is about. We have had many revelations in the UK concerning celebrities who have sexually abused others and it has taken years for victims to speak out. That pain, guilt and suffering causes so much hurt for them their families and partners. Silence is not the way forward. I hope that I can help get that message out to as many people as possible not only with the SHE campaign but with my music too.’
